Christmas - 2016
Gift Package and Prayer over the Drivers

CDLMinistries
Working together with a church in the community gift packages where developed and given out to all the drivers at Love's Travel Stop and Country Store (IH-20, Exit 540, Van, TX) on Christmas morning. There are many drivers on the road during a holiday season; away from their home church, family, and friends. We, as a church, wanted to give them just a little bite of home away from home.

We handed out more than 40 packages having items they could use while on the road.

May God Bless Travel

Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward
(Mark 9:41)

CDLMinistries
21-Days of Praise and Worship -2016
(16-Oct through 5-Nov)

We are currently doing another 21-Days of Praise and Worship at CDLMinistries, Van Texas (16-Oct-2016 through 5-Nov 2016). Each night we have testimonies as to what God is doing through our drivers and within each of our lives. For example: 26-Oct we had the opportunity of walking the truck lot (Love's Truck Stop) and noticed a driver on his cell phone. As we approached him we noticed he began to cry. The call was informing him that he was diagnosed with Cancer. After praying for him -- right there on the parking lot, he attended our service. Two of our staff, along with the pastor who brought our nightly message meet with him after the service. We are here to meet needs and God allowed us to meet the needs of this driver during his time of trials.

We are so fortunate to be here; administering to those who are alone on the road, far away from home. That is what we do and that is why we are here...to give God all the glory. Pictures represent just what we offer nightly.

Nightly music offered

Worship is contemporary, offering words coming right from God's heart.

God has blessed us with the purchase of a tent
This year, unlike the past seven years offering 21-Days of Praise and Worship, we had the opportunity of purchasing a tent. We have had to rent tents in the past and costs for rental has increased 50%. Through one of our staff, it was arranged to purchase a $1,000.00 tent for only $649.00 -- Praise God for all His Blessing. Although we had funds to cover this expense, it has limited us to purchase additional supplies for the ministry. Please be in prayer as to how you can help us meet future expenses. God blesses His people when they give.

Pastor's can sing too!
Come join us as we meet the needs of those who stop by Love's Truck Stop. We look forward to what the future holds for our ministry. Love's has just opened a larger facility across the street and added several new restaurants. In additional a new hotel will soon open (Fair Field) allowing us to administer to other travels. Continue to pray for what God allows us to do and share.
Another night of praising Him under the Big-Tent

We need your help - this year we purchased a tent verses renting. That cost can only be covered through God's people. Please pray about how you can get involved to help!
Please mail all checks to:
PO Box 341, Van, TX 75790
Make your checks out to CDLMinistries

Note: we are working on our 501c3 for tax deductions, but it will take a
few more months to complete.

Jesus - The Only Way

We live in a 'global village', a multi-faith society where exclusive claims may differ when it comes to "How to get to Heaven." Many so called religions are prepared to only recognize Jesus as a great teacher, prophet, leader and reformer. As a Christian, we are not being arrogant, intolerant, and narrow-minded when we suggest He is the only way?

This question is especially relevant today based on ethnic minorities and other religious groups that want to force their beliefs on others; all in the name of Political Correctness.  Jesus, himself was asked that question in John 14:6. He answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

The great British writer, C. S. Lewis, explained in his well-known book, Mere Christianity, "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher; he'd either be a lunatic -- on a level with a man who says he's a poached egg -- or else he'd be the devil of hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse."

Christians, have been branded intolerant of those who don't what to accept Christ's grace, mercy, and love. There is a primary difference built into Christianity that sets us apart, thus allowing us to boldly state the He is the only way.
  • Being tolerant is what makes us who we are. We accept others who don't share our belief.
  • We are not radical, but forgiving to those who reject Christ.
  • We look beyond the sins committed and love the person, but hate the sin.
  • We don't inflict pain or other harm on others just because they disagree.
  • We pray for those who need to come to the saving knowledge that Christ offers; freely and unconditionally without strings attached.
  • We don't burn down towns, churches, and kill people who seem and act differently.
If Jesus is the only way to Heaven, then what others think about us really doesn't matter. It is what Jesus thinks of us. How we act, accept others, pray, and serve. Christianity is not easy; it never was, but Christ came to earth and died for all; both sinner and believer. He was and remains the only hope for the lost sinner. One day those who rejected Him will fine out their mistake. By then it will be too late. That is why we share the Good News...That Jesus Christ is the Only Way!

Philippians 2:10-11

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
